Millions of crystals. One humble switch.

PDLC — Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal — is the physics trick behind the magic. Watch it happen:

Power off — privacy by default

Liquid crystal droplets point every which way, scattering light. The glass looks elegantly frosted. In a power cut, you automatically get privacy — a built-in fail-safe.

Flip the switch

A safe, low voltage flows through two invisible conductive layers in the film — drawing about as much power as a night lamp.

Crystals align — glass clears

Within ~300 milliseconds every crystal snaps into formation, light passes straight through, and your frosted panel becomes crystal-clear glass.

Bonus: it's a projection screen

In frosted mode the film doubles as a high-contrast rear-projection surface — a conference room wall becomes a cinema.

FrostFlip isn't a coating — it's a laminated assembly, engineered layer by layer and bonded to your existing glass.

    Hard coat

    A scratch-resistant top surface that shrugs off daily cleaning and UV exposure.

    ITO conductive layer

    An invisible indium tin oxide film carries the low-voltage current evenly across the whole pane.

    PDLC core

    Liquid crystal droplets suspended in a polymer matrix — the layer that actually scatters or passes light.

    ITO conductive layer

    A second conductive film completes the circuit, sandwiching the PDLC core.

    Optical adhesive

    A clear, bubble-free bonding layer that laminates the film permanently onto your existing glass.

After dark

Frosted mode is a screen.

Switch the film off and it doubles as a high-contrast rear-projection surface. A boardroom wall becomes a pitch deck. A storefront window becomes a street-facing ad screen. No extra hardware — the same film you already installed.
